Hi! I always enjoy a well-made Flash game or animation, and classical and techno music are good too. I'm a newbie at Flash, maybe someday I'll submit something here on NG.

I don't recall ever hearing the songs you mentioned as originals, but your song stands up by itself anyways.

It's been a while, so I thought I'd leave the story this inspired in me:
Sid slowly awoke suspended in the dark cockpit, a warning klaxon beeping occasionally. Suddenly, arcing electricity revealed the ruined console in front of him. "No!" he shouted, as he remembered the battle. One of the screens flickered back on, and Sid struggled to make out what it depicted. Sid realized that he must not have been out for long, as the battle outside the space station was still going full bore. Sid noticed with a start that myriad of explosions he was seeing were to small to be enemy ships. He snapped out of his reverie and started trying to restart his engines. The screen brightened, and he checked it. An explosion close by, he thought at first; but no, it didn't look right for that... He did a double take. "The station! But... But... Sister... Mother... I failed you..." he cried, "There was nothing I could do... I tried... I tried..." Sid sat and watched as the explosion got larger and larger, until finally the shock wave reached him and he was knocked into empty unconsciousness.

"Here I am, brain the size of a planet..."
I empathize with you; I succumbed to Chrono Trigger also, and finally bought it on Amazon. I was tempted to wait to review this song until I played the game (again) when it gets here, but that could have been a while.
Anyways, if my memory serves me right, this is pretty faithful to the original.
Retro gaming ftw!

Are you getting swamped by my flood of reviews yet, lol?
Well, for my review: I liked this song. I wish I could be more specific, because that would a more helpful review, but I can't. This song as a whole just appealed to me.
Author's Response:
Well, I'm glad you liked it. And I always enjoy a good review. You can never have too many :)

"R.O.B. Kirby says "BEEEEE!!!""
You took a risk in remixing the song like you did, but I think the results made it worth while.
It wouldn't be a remix if you didn't add your own touch to it, which is why I like your version more than any other Fountain of Dreams remix I've heard in a while.
I really, really, really, (really ad infinitum) liked from 1:01 to 1:06 and all other places where you used to just that instrument. Sadly, I can't quite place what instrument it is, but please tell when you get the chance.
Author's Response:
Thank you. The instrument your refering to is actually 3. Its just an ordinary bass layered with some mid strings and brass.

I liked this song so much, I downloaded it.
But it did somewhat fail at achieving the space opera style, in fact, it really sounded like Old West style to me, ironically. I think that in order to attain the style you wanted, you should add more synthetic sounds, such as computer sounds or mechanical sounds. You also might want to try sneaking in some violins. The only other thing I can say is 'experiment'.
My favorite part of the song, by the way, was from approximately 3:00 to the end.
Author's Response:
Lol. From here on out I shall say that it was intentional. :P Thx.

"It's (insert synonym for 'strange' here)..."
Without strange and different things, life would be boring.
This was fun song to listen to, but there were a few things didn't quite seem right. I couldn't quite put my finger them though, so I hope that a more experienced person than I reviews them and gives you some tips.
Oh, and was that a hint of a Zelda song I heard at 1:10? It sounded to me like the song that plays in Majora's Mask when you are following the monkey through the forest maze. (Unfortunately, I can't recall the name of that particular song of the top of my head.)
Author's Response:
It's good to be strange. Hopefully someone can tell me whats wrong with it at some point. And If you heard zelda in there that was entirely coincidental. ;)

This piece was very repetitive, and I think would have had a much warmer reception if it had been shorted down to a loop of about 30-40 seconds or so. I did like the melody, though, and I would like to see used somewhere in another song ( or a revamped version of this song).
Author's Response:
Maybe at some point. Probably not though I'm havin a hard time goin back FL studio.

"Needs more cowbell... err.. I mean equalization..."
This was quite well done, but you're right about needing to fix the guitars. Send me a message when you upload the better version, 'cause I want to download it.
Author's Response:
Will do, and thanks for the review. (unintentional rhyme)
